Oxford Day 12

Today it is sunny again. This is the final day of the course and we are talking about Phonetics but that is not very important for "normal" people so I will talk about the ENVIRONMENT here. I have noticed a few things that I want to share with you:
* They recycle shopping bags a lot. They bring the same plastic bags again and again so they don't take new ones all the time. This is a great idea!!

* At home they have different recipients for recycling plastic, glass, paper, plants, etc., provided by the town hall. They place all items to be recycled and certain day in the week they are collected by special trucks along with the house rubbish. You don't have to take them anywhere.

* They use public transport a lot (especially trains and buses). Bicycles are very popular too, even though it is this rainy weather.

* They love second-hand shops (almost all of them charity shops). It is a good idea to give away your old things and these charity associations will get some money after selling them.

Well, apart of this, here you have more pictures. These are of the river Isis which flows across Oxford.

More beautiful pictures...
