Blenheim Palace

The teacher course is finished but... I will stay here for another week to visit important places and get to know more of this society.
Today I want to show another beautiful place just a few kilometres away from Oxford city centre. I am talking about Blenheim Palace, a magnificient building and superb park and gardens as you can see on the pictures. We could say that it looks like Versailles in France a little bit.
Besides, there was a joust with the king Henry VIII, his knights, other soldiers, horses, etc. It was really funny. Many families came with their hampers and enjoyed a wonderful day here with the kids.
Ah! the palace is these days also the setting of a new film to be released in the summer of 2010, it is a new version of "Gulliver's Travels" based on the famous novel by Jonathan Swift.
Well, tomorrow is another great moment in this journey as I will be visiting Stratford-upon-Avon, Shakespeare's brithplace. It is, no doubt, a real pilgrimage centre for all those who have studied English Literature.
So...if you want to see / know more, come back to the blog!!
